The former president, Barack Obama has made the Billboard charts this week. This is all because of the release of “One Last Time”, all thanks to the creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Obama appeared in “One Last Time (Remix),” which is a gospel-inspired remix of the Hamilton hit. This top hit landed at 22nd no. on the Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.
The song track also features the Gospel singer Bebe Winans and Broadway star Christopher Jackson. The track was released by Miranda on 22nd December, as part of his “Hamill drops” series. This series raises donations for several nonprofits. The title of the song has a reference to Obama, who was the 44th president of the United States.
This is not the very first time when Obama has appeared on a Billboard chart. He has previously charted there twice. Once in March 2009, on TV DVD Sales chart and for the second time in December 2015, on the Billboard + Twitter Emerging Artists chart for getting featured on the track “Pop Off” by JX Cannon. Obama has a great taste for music, particularly for hip-hop and R&B. Recently, he has shared his end of the year 2018 music list on Facebook, which contains some of the tracks by Leon Bridges, Cardi, and B, Kendrick Lamar.
